  • What's the deal with trigger warnings that ridiculous amount of sensitivity and thin skin that demands them? How does Ted handle this as a professor?
  • Are some email sign-offs more holy than others? Why do some people drop a Sola Fide in there while others only use "blessings"?
May 9, 2016

  • Unpopular opinions - Sincere people, In 'n Out Burger, and more
Apr 25, 2016

In this episode of the Happy Rant Ted, Ronnie, and Barnabas rant about the following:

  • What in the world is wrong with people? The college students in this video are incapable of declaring obvious truths for the fear of offending people. Of course, we might be afraid of offending them by airing our true opinions too.
  • What are we supposed to do with big-platform ministries that seem, pretty obviously, to be ruining pastors? Is the platform sinful? Is it just a good ol' boys club? What should our response be?
  • Big announcement, or rather, big tease - we are planning to have a LIVE HAPPY RANT in October in Louisville. We discuss some details and more are to come.

  • In recent years pregnancy announcements and gender reveal parties have become a cottage industry. What is this insanity?
  • Why do churches - especially mega churches - feel the need to come up with pithy sermon titles and clever promotional plans?
Apr 4, 2016

In this episode of the Happy Rant Ted, Ronnie, and Barnabas rant about the following:

  • What's the deal with church doing huge, expensive "helicopter drops" and Easter egg hunts in celebration of Easter? Do they actually work for getting people to attend?

Feb 29, 2016

Feb 1, 2016

  • If we could go back in time and talk to our 20-year-old selves what advice would we give? And would we even listen to that advice?
  • Churches are not businesses, so how should they use business principles? Or should they at all?
Jan 25, 2016

These are just a sampling, so tune in for the full, tense, agonizing discussion.

Jan 11, 2016

In this episode we try something a little different. Since Ted co-authored a book several years ago called  "Why We're Not Emergent" and since the key players in the Emergent movement keep rearing their heads we figured we'd do a "where are they now?" episode.

We follow up on Rob Bell, Mark Driscoll, Doug Pagitt, Dan Kimball, and Brian McLaren to see what they're doing now, what are they teaching now, and what their current hair styles might be.

We also get an important update from Ronnie on when the heck we'll get a new intro some we can lay the current one to rest with proper honors.
